In the year of our Lord, two thousand and twenty-five…nah, I’m just kidding.
For real though, this has been a big year for me.
This is the year that I celebrated 50 years of life.
At the end of last year, I had an idea. I knew how I wanted to celebrate. I wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise. Welp, life was happening and THAT didn’t happen. But, I got some amazing gifts from my family (the coat in the picture is one).

I also had a wonderful family vacation at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. I even got to meet an online friend that I’ve known for the last 5 years, which was awesome. It was an awesome birthday!
This is also the year that I celebrated 25 years of working for the same company!

Bruh, that is literally half of my life! Can you believe it!? I cannot! I remember being the youngest person in the department when I first started. Now, I’m the old lady, although most people tell me I don’t look 50. 🙂
Now, what I did not plan for or expect was getting a promotion at work.
My manager called me on my personal phone after hours. I thought something was wrong, like someone was sick or something. The first thing I said after hello was, “What’s wrong?” When she said nothing and sounded excited, I started screaming (softly so I didn’t blow out her eardrum). I was in disbelief. I was excited. I was/am appreciative. I know she had to fight for that. I appreciated her efforts. I felt so full.
Now, as life is, it has also had some tough times, but that’s my business. LOL!
Overall, it has been a great year! Praise God!
